Republican NJ Governor Chris Christie Outspoken on Removing Unions
Gov Christie called Union Reps "Thugs" and stated that he was "protecting" the public and the states workers from these Union thugs. No media interviewer bothered to ask further questions about how he thinks he is protecting the public and workers.
Gov Christie is setting the propaganda strategy for Republican leaders against Unions by using an influence strategy that reverses the actual roles of his administration vs unions. He was able to call the Union thugs before Unions put the label on his administration ... just like Pres Bush and advisor/strategist Karl Rove, Gov Christie used the ploy of "pre-emptive strike" in the war of words against Unions. You'll soon hear other Republican Governors using the same language regarding Unions as thugs and the need to protect the public and workers from Labor Unions.
... and of course Gov Christie is concerned with his state budget and how much Union Workers are overpaid. You can tell because when he entered office in 2010, his administration spent $440,000 more than the previous administration did on themselves and their offices.
newsmax.com poll
They've been posting poll announcements for people to vote and within the announcement there is and are language patterns meant to influence the poll voter.... that is definitely biased bad journalism by Newsmax!
Poll ad shows picture of smiling Gov Walker and asks you to vote while the language on the picture says Like Governor Walker but they put a ? after Like as Like? Governor Walker ... but it is called an "embedded command" suggesting we should like the Governor.
Then the poll that asks you to email your friends says something to the effect of Vote in this Poll ... Tell us if you support Governor Walker against the bloated Unions and against the Unions with too much power, who are overpaid with too many benefits? What kind of unbiased question is that for a news Poll???
Keep at it .... get on social media sites and have your say ... get others involved!
Recent Polls show that Voters support Unions/Collective Bargaining by 10 pts or more!

"First they came…" is a famous statement attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984)

about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of
their chosen targets, group after group. The text of the quotation is usually presented roughly
as follows:
First They came... by Pastor Martin Niemoller
First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

February 2011 - - - New Republican Governors trying to
destroy Labor Unions, Colllective Bargaining, by making their
state a "Right to Work" state ... first Wisconsin, next Ohio!
... at least four other states in play as well!
Labor Unions and Union Members tend to overwhelmingly support Democrats in elections.
Get rid of or weaken Unions and Republicans can run the board in future elections.

Right to Work ... for Less/low wages, no benefits, more hours or less hours regardless of your need for a steady income or time with family, in the extreme heat or extreme cold, whatever is required or you're fired ...
Home > Issues > Legislative Action Center > State and Local Legislative Issues > Rights to Work for Less
To set the record (and the name) straight, right to work for less doesn’t guarantee any rights. In fact, by weakening unions and collective bargaining, it destroys the best job security protection that exists: the
union contract.
Meanwhile, it allows workers to pay nothing and get all the benefits of union membership. Right to work
laws say unions must represent all eligible employees, whether they pay dues or not. This forces unions
to use their time and members’ dues money to provide union benefits to free riders, workers who are not willing to pay their fair share.
Right to work laws lower wages for everyone. The average worker in a right to work state makes about $5,333 a year less than workers in other states ($35,500 compared with $30,167).[1] Weekly wages are $72 greater in free-bargaining states than in right to work states ($621 versus $549).[2] Working families
in states without right to work laws have higher wages and benefit from healthier tax bases that improve their quality of life.
Federal law already protects workers who don’t want to join a union to get or keep their jobs. Supporters claim right to work laws protect employees from being forced to join unions. Don’t be fooled—federal law already does this, as well as protecting nonmembers from paying for union activities that violate their religious or political beliefs. This individual freedom argument is a sham.
Right to work endangers safety and health standards that protect workers on the job by weakening unions that help to ensure worker safety by fighting for tougher safety rules. According to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate of workplace deaths is 51 percent higher in states with right to work, where unions can’t speak up on behalf of workers.[3]
Right to work laws just aren’t fair to dues-paying members. If a nonunion worker is fired illegally, the union must use its time and money to defend him or her, even if that requires going through a costly legal process. Everyone benefits, so all should share in the process. Nonmembers can even sue the union if they think it has not represented them well enough.

Stop Republicans from Destroying Labor Unions and Collective Bargaining ...
Write an email to your state Senators and Governor Kasich ...
Do it Now - before it's too late!
Karl Rove, Republican Strategist, stated that Unions lost about 100,000 members last year
which is great progress and represents a lot of money in union contributions that would
have been used to defeat Republicans in the coming elections.
News Update,
December 2012
Republican Governors are implementing the strategy rapidly.
They have forced rapid closed door votes through their states legislature to end collective bargaining for public employees claiming it is needed to balance the budget and make their states business friendly ... a code phrase for lowering wages and benefits for workers by eliminating the unions that stand in their way of turning free minded employees into low paid servants.
Union members and supporting public has fought back and overturned the Ohio State Bill 5, returning collective bargaining to Ohio Public Employees. That was just one step in the Republican strategy. They are attempting to take power from unions by shrinking the size of union membership.
Unions get their power from being "unified" for all workers including how most choose to vote.
Less union members may mean less votes for Democratic Candidates.
Republican Governors have layed off or fired many thousands of pubic employees under the guise of balancing their budgets. Federal Republican legislators next went after the largest group of union workers in the U.S., the U.S. Postal Service stating they would go bankrupt if drastic cuts weren't made. U.S. Postal Service does not take a dime in tax money. It is self sufficient. They are, however, under a requirement that no other government department is expected to endure. They are expected to have all expected pension monies required to fund their retirees, already in a protected investment accounts instead of funding it as needed like other departments. This puts an unmeetable burden on its budget. Republican leaders are claiming the Postal Service is broke and it is being used as the reason for post office closings and massive postal worker layoffs.
As one corporate lobbyist put it ... destroy the unions and we destroy the Democratic Party ... destroy the Democratic Party and we can put Corporations in charge without interference by the Government or the "people.".
